For plumbers · free to look, pay only to publish

Your customer is standing in two inches of water. Your website has one job.

Answer two questions above the fold, on a cracked phone screen, one-handed: do you come out here, and can I reach you now. Type your company name and your town and we build that page — services, areas covered, hours, your number one tap from dialling. Looking at it costs nothing.

Start here — two fields

No card. No account. No call. You pay only if you decide to publish it — from $59 a month, cancel any time, or £49 in the UK. Rather be done with it? $599 once covers the first 12 months, with no monthly fee.

A pipe wrench, a pressure gauge and a scatter of copper fittings and elbows laid on a canvas tool roll.

§ 01 — what the page has to do

A plumbing website is read in a panic, not in a chair.

The person reading it has water coming through a ceiling, or no heating on the coldest night of the year, or a landlord on the other line. They will give your page about eight seconds and they will give it one thumb. Everything that is not an answer to “can this person help me, right now, here” is in the way — and most plumbers’ sites are ninety per cent in the way.

  1. THEY ASK

Do you come out to me?

A named list of the places you cover — the suburbs, the villages, the postcodes people actually say out loud. Not “the greater area”, which tells nobody anything and loses you the call to whoever wrote their town down.

  2. THEY ASK

    Can I get you now?

Your number as a dialling link at the very top of the page, again as the big button under your name, again in the emergency block, again beside the areas you cover, again in the contact block and again in the footer — six places on one page. Plus what your out-of-hours actually is. This is the highest-value element on a plumber’s website and it is usually a photograph of a telephone.

  3. THEY ASK

    What am I in for?

Your services with whatever pricing you are willing to state — a call-out from, a service from, quoted per job. You decide what to publish. What you publish, we put on; what you do not, we do not invent.

What is on the page when it opens

  • Your services, each with a line and a priceEmergency leaks, boiler service, bathrooms, drains, water heaters — as many as you send us, priced or “quoted per job”, your call.
  • Areas covered, named one by oneThe list the customer scans for their own town. It is the fastest yes on the page.
  • Hours, including emergency coverWritten as text, with your out-of-hours arrangement stated as it really is.
  • Your number in six places, every one of them diallingA strip across the very top, the big button under your name, the one in the emergency block, the one beside the areas list, the contact block and the footer. One tap dials the van from any of them.
  • A quote request form that worksWhat is wrong, where, and how to reach them — arriving in your email.
  • Local business schema, filled inAddress, hours and every service you list, written in the format search engines parse.

Everything above comes from what you type and what you send us. Nothing is written on your behalf — no reviews, no claims about your business, no numbers you did not give us. Build mine — free

Nobody browses a plumber at leisure. They pick the first one who looks reachable.

§ 02 — the proof

The finished plumbing site is open right now.

This is not an example of the kind of thing we do. Ridgeway Plumbing & Heating is a complete plumbing website — a two-van outfit in Asheville, North Carolina — with six priced services, nine named service areas, emergency hours and a working quote form. It runs on the same system that will serve yours. Open it on your phone and put it through its paces.

The Ridgeway Plumbing site on a phone: a Call strip across the top, the company name, plumber and town, a one-line description, a large Call us now button and a Get a free quote button.
Ridgeway at 390 pixels wide. The number opens the page, and every one of the six is a dialling link.

§ 03 — the bill

Starts at

59 US dollars per month

Cancel any time, by email.

$59/moUnited States, Canada and everywhere else
£49/moUnited Kingdom — billed in pounds, not converted

Or pay once — $599, and no monthly fee. $599 is about ten months of $59, and it covers twelve. Twelve months of the monthly plan comes to $708, so paying once keeps $109 in your pocket and leaves nothing to cancel. In pounds: £499 once, against £588 over a year. You choose at the moment you publish, not before.

14 days to change your mind Full refund, no reason required — on one email to contact@openhousesites.com. Back to the card that paid it.

  • The finished plumber siteBuilt on the layout your trade gets, with your services and your town on it — not a blank template with your name dropped in.
  • Your contentServices, prices, hours, area served, what you actually do — written on the page, not left as placeholder.
  • Mobile-first pagesComposed narrow first, because that is the screen your customers are holding.
  • A contact form that worksMessages land in your inbox. Not in a dashboard you will never log into.
  • SEO setup and local business schemaSo search engines know what you do, where you are, and when you are open.
  • Your own domain, hosting and SSLConnected and included on both plans — twelve months of it if you pay once, and for as long as it runs if you pay monthly.

No retainer. No lock-in. After the first year, keep it with us or take it anywhere you like — it is yours. And none of it costs anything until you say publish.

§ 04 — straight answers, for plumbers

The questions plumbers actually ask.

I get everything from word of mouth and Checkatrade. Why bother?

Because a recommendation ends in a search. Someone gives your name at a barbecue, and that evening the neighbour types it into a phone. If nothing comes up, or what comes up is a directory profile between three of your competitors and an advert, you have paid for the recommendation and somebody else has collected on it. A site of your own is where that search is supposed to land.

Do I have to publish my prices?

No. You decide what goes on, service by service. Some plumbers publish a call-out rate and quote the rest; some publish nothing and just list what they do. Both work. What we will not do is invent a figure or promise something on your behalf — if the page says a quote is free, it is because you told us it is.

My areas are oddly shaped. Can I list them properly?

Yes, and you should. Send us the towns, villages, suburbs or postcodes as you would say them on the phone, and they go on the page as a named list. That list is doing two jobs at once: it reassures the person reading, and it puts the place names on your page in text.

What does it cost and is there a monthly fee?

From $59 a month — £49 in the United Kingdom, billed in pounds — and one email cancels it whenever you want. Or pay once: $599, or £499, which covers the first twelve months with no monthly fee, so there is nothing to cancel. That is about ten months of $59, and it covers twelve. Either way: your own domain connected, hosting and SSL, the working quote form, one round of revisions. Building it and reading it costs nothing, and if you pay and change your mind you have fourteen days for a full refund.

§ 05 — not your trade?

Different trade? There is a page for that one too.

Whatever you do, the front door is the same one: the Openhouse home page, or type your trade straight into the form and we build from that.
